Dirty Laundry seen by all

This is Par for the Course for all the SA posts I have read here, and SA managements obvious lack of control over the flight operations. Dont you folks realize that Mainline USAir reads this crap here as well, do you think this is going to help your relationship with them and how you treat their customers? Or how this will help the company in its near-term future fight to stay alive with Wexford Capital, your owner?

Everyone can make mistakes, pilots, dispatchers are no exception I think it bears stating again that both PIC and Dispatcher are jointly responsible for the safety of the flight and from the sounds of the above posts, both are equally guilty of violating many FARS. As for Training a new dispatcher, It can take many months, 2 to 3 months is not at all uncommon.

The examples of leaving fuel on the ground to get a few more pax on board with known destination IFR holding is terrible information to print on a public site as this, it only tells everyone reading this thread that profeit is more important that safety on Shuttle Flights. This senerio has been proven in many crashes already. God forbid an accident occurs in the future, as these threads will come real handy to a defence attorney indicating a long pattern of unsafe operations as SOP with the management team at SA, which seems clearly NOT in control of the operation.

As to hiring dispatchers, from what I hear around the industry, SA has passed up alot of good dispatchers and refuses to take care of the problems they have in house, but you know how rumors are, evey airline has them. I would just suggest that some of you folks have a sit down internally and work out these problems off-line and quit confirming to the world what we hear about SA as really true. Be professional, you have peoples lives in your hands for Christ sake.

I agree with just about everything you say rsvm410, except that in who is to blame for the bs posts here. I know it is fashionable to blame everything on someone else these days, when it comes right down to it, it is the a**hole who hits submit that is to blame.

If you are not part of the solution, however limited that solution is, you are part of the problem. I don't understand the urge that some of our fellow drivers have that makes it so compelling for them to p*ss in their own bed. Why would you want to make yourself a laughingstock? You wear the Shuttle ID, but go and flame all of our dirty laundry on the net. When people point and laugh at Shuttle, they are pointing and laughing at you also.

Must be some kind of complex they have, thining they should not have to be at such a lowly place. Well wake the F**k up. You are here, if some other bigger better carrier wanted you, you would be there.

So when you were dispatched to IPT did you only review the release or was there CRM involved? That means did both people take a peek at it?

100% agreement again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think Capt. Dumba** is just using this forum as a place to vent a little.

These forums are just like hanging out in a bar, drinking beer and swapping stories with your buddies...at least to me.
