Has anybody notified the AJC yet?

I'm sure they would love to know.

ASA pilots plan to picket headquarters
Pilots at Delta Air Lines' regional carrier, Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Monday will begin the first of several pickets next week outside ASA's Atlanta headquarters near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to protest the pace of two year-old contract talks.

The pilots, who are represented by a separate unit of the Air Line Pilots Association than Delta's mainline pilots, plan morning an afternoon pickets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, said Capt. Rick Bernskoetter, a union spokesman.

"They need to get serious about these discussions," said Bernskoetter. He said union and airline began negotiating a new contract in September, 2002, but turned to the National Mediation Board this summer after contract talks bogged down.

ASA's pilots and other employees have been largely unaffected by the job and pay cuts that have affected Delta, which barely skirted a bankruptcy filing this fall. However, ASA employees also are paid a fraction of what their mainline counterparts make.

Pilot pay ranges from about $20,000 a year for starting pilots to $90,000 for senior captains, said Bernskoetter. Pay for a mid-career captain at Delta dropped from $225,000 to $152,000 after a 32.5 percent pay cut that took effect this month.

Good luck to all of my friends at ASA. You all deserve a great contract, and I hope that you get it.

Informational picketing in front of the GO seems to be a waste of time to me. The GO is the problem. We should do it in front of the airport.

What's the uniform requirment? Can we wear the leather or does it have to be the uniform jacket?

Or forget the picketing and have a sick-out instead. That will hurt them more!!!!
One Step At A Time.

Remember, we want to get their attention and if we dont, then we will progress to a more public area like the airport on another event.

Besides, if the press shows up with cameras, we are reaching more than the GO Veeps and peeps.

I would bet that CHUCK T is drooling out his mouth like a pitbull saying "bring it on".

"Lets get it Started, lets get it started in here" Black eyed peas
"Somebody farted, somebody Farted in here" Local radio station

Realyman,

You, my friend, are an a$$. I have never read such irrresponsible posts. From the recent SWA post, to your past rantings about how great your life is here at ASA. You are an embarrasment I pray that I don't meet you in person. If your previous posts reflect how you feel, then why in the hell are you picketing?

Surely you aren't picketing to network and improve your side gig. Please do not come to the informational picketing, we do not need that kind of support. We can get that from the company.

I don't take your comments to be light-hearted or funny after reading your previous posts here. You are a sad example of what hinders our efforts, as professionals, to fight together for fair compensation and benefits so richly deserved.

We picketed in the places where we had permits to do so. Believe me, there were a lot of people on the 8th floor looking out the windows. I know of 2 local TV channels that showed up for the AM session.

What do you mean?
I guess I naively pictured us on the cobblestone by the front door. Looks like we were on the strip of grass between Toffee Terrace and the fence surrounding Delta North.

Thanks for your time and effort, y'all who walked.

We actually had 3 spots this morning, 2 of them were between the GO and Delta North and 1 was between the GO and the DAL GO.

I saw a clip on the news 46 yesterday. It was actually on the first 10 min headlines. Good job guys! Keep walking till they pay up!
