Didn't finish my reply  Jedi is a callsign that has been used by several Guard units lately that are flying in support of Noble Eagle. I have used it myself in Utah. As far as the MSP Guard, last I heard they were using the Viking call-sign.

Ah yes, good catch TankerPuke. The Flying Vikings, it says so right on their tails, forgot about that. That must be some sort of punishement, to be named after the Vikings.... poor ba$tards.

While "Justice" is the appropriate call sign for the US Justice Dept. when ferrying deportees or criminals, USA Jet Airlines' call sign is Jet USA and the radar tag (JUS) is often confused by the controllers (especially in Mexico) as Justice. We really get a lot of respect down there if they think we have some relatives on board. "Royer, Yustice ... cleared as requested."

Allegheny and Piedmont callsigns

Just curious what Allegheny and Piedmont's call signs are??

Thanks

Piedmont has a good one. Get this...They go by "Piedmont." Not sure where they got that one. :D

I'm not real sure what Allegheny uses.

Every once in awhile on my trips from JAN to HOU and back i hear one:

"Sparkle"

Any clues?

Sparkle a couple of years ago was a company out of Stateboro Ga. that ran UPS in the SouthEast.

They fly (flew) Seneca's and MU-2's. I havn't heard them on the radio in a long time.

I think the weirdest one I have heard is "Hooker." I believe they were Gulfstream IV's, there were two of them - Hooker 1 and Hooker 2.

Can't remember where I was flying but I'm pretty sure it was between the Tallahassee and Cross City area going down to Opa Locka.

When I hear Spendair, I usually alter course...one way or another 'cause I'm fairly sure it's trailin' parts.

Who has "Candler" sp?

Heard "Gomer" last night on Wichita approach... anyone know who they are?

How about "Rum Runner"... also on Wichita approach?

Hey Metroman how did you guys get the Spendair as your callsign? I thought maybe it could be Spindair since you spin so many airplanes in every year. Just joking with you. What did happen to those guys that went in short of the runway in IMT a couple of months ago? Are they still with you or did they get fired?
