What was the message board you are referring to?

Actually one of my buddies over there told me that there are grumblings that it may go to 100 per month until May. Thery are going to slow down over the summer months and then pick up again later in the year.

That certainly should make the XJT upgrade pretty quick.

Because Pref bidding is so F----d up that it actually exposes just how short staffed we have been, and they actually have to hire to cover it along with all the sick calls it is causing. So much for the savings:rolleyes:

ding ding ding....we have a winner.

fwiw...had a checkairman on jumpseat and he said hiring to continue through the summer at the current rate.

enjoy....seems to be a little more mature .....well at least for now

Maybe because so many have been passed over in the recent year. It's been the good ole' boy network. Congrats to those who want to go.

With all this hiring, does that mean I have a chance at avoiding Denial Mode 4 due to OSC? I wonder what Denial Mode 3 or even 2 is like!

Sure! Thanks for the idea Dick. I would like to head the DTW flying club. We could have a softball league and play the CLE club.

I recently got my 737 type in the ole CAL training center. My sim partner was XJT. It seemed everytime he turned around there was another friend of his from XJT starting class, etc. I think about 40% of newhires are XJT right now. That speaks well of a company to hire from 'its' regional. A concept that was totally lost with my prior DFW based employer.
CAL is a good place to be. Good luck to everyone interviewing and waiting for the call!

Class that started yesterday, January 09, was

4 737 IAH
4 737 EWR
6 756 EWR
2 777 EWR(not a typo!)

Did the 777 go Sr or Jr in the class? I have heard that its a 2yr seatlock and eternal reserve in ewr.
