Just as an informational post...

The new "interim" CEO of Mokulele was installed by RAH. Mokulele was unable to keep up with its loan repayment schedule to RAH ($8 million). RAH assumed a large share of Mokulele after the default, and now exercises control over the day to day operations of Mokulele. This was not the ideal arrangement, but RAH needed to provide benefit to its shareholders in return for the loan. Since RAH has assumed control of Mokulele, they have sought to increase ticket sales by making tickets on Mokulele available in more venues. Apparently, this particular arrangement allows Mokulele tickets to be purchased by CAL passengers. So yes, CAL passengers can buy a ticket on a 70 seat RJ through the CAL website. And yes, that ticket will be for a flight operated by RAH. However, none of these planes say Continental on the side, and CAL does not have an agreement whereby they have purchased the rights to sell seats on the Mokulele flights themselves. IF any money has been exchanged in this deal, it was RAH/Mokulele paying CAL for the space on the CAL reservations website.

These airplanes are not registed to Republic. You are basing you info on the fact that Republic also has tail numbers of HQ. These airplanes have not been sold yet inside the US.

I might actually beleive this more now... The 2 190's in question are tail numbers 161hq and 162hq.

Now one of out pilots found this on the FAA site... Shows the tail numbers are registered to RP. Who knows?

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/nnumsql.asp?NNumbertxt=161HQ

http://registry.faa.gov/aircraftinquiry/nnumsql.asp?NNumbertxt=162HQ

This is bad thing for RP pilots but what does the company care what we think.

So let me understand this...

Mokulele Airlines flies the caravans under a 135 certificate?

Shuttle America flies the 170's under their certificate?

The two pilot groups have nothing to do with each other basically?

But the whole airline is controlled by RAH?

There is a Dir Ops position open out there... anyone have info on this gig?

Thanks,

Wolf

But the whole airline is controlled by RAH? RAH COMPLETELY CONTROLS AND OWNS S5. RAH RECENTLY CHOSE TO STEP UP AND TAKE CONTROL OVER MOKULELE OPERATIONS TO ENSURE THAT MOKULELE PROVIDED THE BEST POSSIBLE RETURN ON THEIR (RAH'S) INVESTMENT. THIS TRANSFER OF CONTROL WAS POSSIBLE ONLY AFTER MOKULELE DEFAULTED ON LOAN REPAYMENT.

There is a Dir Ops position open out there... anyone have info on this gig? NO INFO, SORRY.

This is the same way its done under the other codeshares. Republic, Shuttle America, and Chautauqua all have their own certificate and the fly flights for DL, UA, US, AA etc...under the certificates.

Just because they are not registered to Republic, does not mean they are not for Republic. The 190's are registered to a corporation located in Connecticut. Who in Connecticut has that kind of spare money ready to spend if RAH needed it? WEXFORD!! Who has Wexford in their back pocket, RAH!!!! Wexford can very easily put them under a corporation name, then lease them back to RAH! I am not saying that this is for sure a Wexford deal, but it does have Wexford written all over it!! Just some food for thought!!!!;)

Not really the entire case... Yes they have there own certificate, but the DOT allowed the removal of FEE FOR SERVICE so that if they have to the company can go its own. For them to do this they had to do proving runs, and show financial ability.

Both RP and S5 are able to operate more than 70 airplanes.

AMR had a bunch of numbers reserved for years. The rumor always went around about getting 25 more CRJ. My point, just because it has your companies letters doesn't mean it is going to your company. Even if it is an airliner.
