Hey All,

On the Northwest web site it states, “Northwest Airlines welcomes service animals, such as dogs and monkeys, . . .in the cabin.”

So that means Northwest allows monkeys to be in the cabin with the Pax. The reason that I’m posting is that I’m wondering if this a new exception or has Northwest always allowed monkeys in the cabins during flights? How does everyone feel about this, aren’t most monkeys kind of noisy? Isn't this kind of weird?

Who else allows monkeys in with the Pax?

Everyone’s thoughts and comments regarding any animal experiences you’ve had while flying are welcome.

Oh, here we go. Service monkeys have been allowed on Pinnacle flights for as long as I have worked here(7+ years). It's actually in the FOM. I assume NW has a similar policy. However, I have never had a pax board with one. That is something I would probably remember. :)

Anyone remeber the Kia commerical : "What's that?" "Sales Monkey"

Comair has a paragraph about service monkeys in the ops man but I've never seen one either.

Cabin monkeys...sorry, I thought this was a thread about flight attendants. :D

but the real question is, if the monkey misbehaves... can we spank it?

Just clean up the mess when your done.

I hope I'm not the only one who thinks this, but what is a service monkey?

Its an animal used to help out the handicap.

Dang, Typhoon1244--

Great looking kids, but it doesn't look like you gave Momma much time to recover from the first one!:D

Service animals (of all species) are allowed on most airlines due to the potential litigation re. Americans with Disabilities Act. I've only seen dogs, but I know there are service pigs on duty somewhere in this great country.

It took us three years of fertility treatment and hard work to have the first one, so we thought, "well, we don't need birth control. It won't happen again if we're not trying."

Surprise! :D

They're thirteen months and one week apart, by the way.

Service monkeys perform services for people who do not have use of their hands and/or arms. Maybe "services" isn't the right word.

I've heard of dogs, I've just never heard of monkeys.

I think there's a bigger issue here....

I have never though of it before, but there is a whole untapped market out there just waiting for someone to open a monkey servicing agency.

Any intrepid venture capatalists out there to get this new business off the ground?

I humbly suggest a few mottos for the opening advertising blitz:

Your one stop shop to get your monkey serviced.

We service monkeys of all sizes.

An equal oportunity monkey servicer.

Your monkey smiles or your money back.

Quick monkey service in about an hour.

:D

Can monkeys PFT?

Where you guys been?

The newer model monkeys are all self-spanking.

Point and shoot, if you will.

"Autospanken" comes standard now, no need for doing it by hand. For those who wish take the midle ground, you can couple the spank director, and follow the crosshairs manually to get the job done.

I was given a chance to try the sim, but passed. Looks pretty crazy on motion.

It's like Homer Simpson with his helper monkey..."pray for mojo!":D
