Just a wisper in the wind, not even a rumor. Horizon too expensive on CRJ700, pilots say no to pay cut, Jets go bye bye, replaced with Q400 (back door paycut), third party to be brought in to fly jets, yadda yadda yadda. Skywest finally gets SEA base with most junior Capt. a 1998 new hire. BUT, AK wants 90 seaters and SKYW can't do that because of DAL, so.................? Who the he11 knows anything?

That's not what I heard. I heard that one of the key sticking points in the Lufthansa strike is that their hottest FA's want the ability to flow through to Horizon and that once that gets hammered out the Horizon pilots will agree to massive pay cuts which will lead to the AAG ordering 100+ New Gen. RJ's and using them to take away all of Sky West's flying.

Alaska pulled the request for bid off the table when oil hit 130. So for now, no one will be flying for Alaska or bidding on it.
