I never said a commuter pilot was a lower form or higher form of life. That connotation is all in your head. I also never said I was better or worse than a commuter pilot, so I don't know where your "elitist" jab comes from.

Like I have said before. I enjoy intellectually based debate and certainly do not expect to agree withth everyone and have everyone agree with me, but GL has proven on many occasion to be a textbook narcissist. Debating with him reminds me of 3rd grade playgroud arguments of "I'm faster, No i am, No I triple dog am, no I'm 4 times infinity faster" No matter what you say he will always one up. That is not a debate.

WE all are acquainted with know it all blowhards and he is a prime example. Eager to tell you how much he knows about everything.

SO no. I do not dislike him. I actually pity the guy... trolling lowly regional boards to buttress his self esteem and prove his worth in 'his 76'

And i also feel just as much pity for the GL apologists as well.. you all know who you are...

It means carriers that provide small jet lift will always be feed. So what. It attributes no qualities to the character or professionalism of the individual pilots doing the flying.

A psychologist may or may not have better pay, but assuming he does, does that make us all "lowly" if we make less?

I don't know what insight you have into my personal party banter, but I find your conclusions of what it might be quite telling.

No inferiority complex here bud. I thank my lucky stars I didn't take a job at a major when I had the chance. I'd be caught up in a real mess right now if I had. I'd rather enjoy 18 days at home and work my side business than be wondering if I'll be taking another paycut or worrying about the company staying in business.

Although I wasn't an English major when you make a comment like "pretty classy for a commuter pilot" it implies something. Had you written "pretty classy for a fellow pilot" then you would not be having this dialogue right now.

At least be a man and admit to your opinion. It's not like anyone knows who you are because like most posters you hide behind an alias. Just another pus$y behind the keyboard.

We use that term because you "major pilots" look down on us, and that is your underlying tone on the Regional boards, so it is in effect, a bit sacastic when we refer to ourselves in this way. Admit it or not, most of the mainline guys, with GL leading the charge, have a condescending, elitist tone when speaking down to us lowly "COMMUTER PILOTS". (Note sarcasm)

Two points if I may sport.

1. "Commuter pilot" is an inocuous term. Unless of course you consider them "lowly" and beneath you, which you apparently do and are offended by being referred to as a "commuter pilot". Perhaps you shouldn't be such an elitist.

2. I used the term "commuter pilot", not because I consider them "lowly" and second rate, but because IFLY apparently does. So much so that he banned GL for using the term.

FDJ2 may have a point. Well, whatever, I am thankful to be with ASA but, I wish, (in the past) that I was on at Delta. In life, aviation can throw a wicked curve-ball. So, what to do? You go with your gut? One decision your shopping for your next Porsche, the other your trying to sell that Porsche!

So the lesson should be to live in your means no matter what the income level! I know we all know people living above their means. Don't be that person!

No offense at being called a commuter pilot. The jokes on you though when you look at the route map and realize that the "commuter routes" are only a small portion of the flying and many of the city pairs are flying you used to do in a narrowbody. And if you don't manage to hold on to scope (good luck with the court by the way) you'll be watching "your flying" go to 76-90 seat RJ's being flown by "commuter" pilots. Then maybe you'll realize that the term "commuter pilot" is a misnomer which of course it already is. Even the term regional hardly fits companies like SkyWest, ExpressJet, Comair, and ASA. But if you feel better about yourself referring to the mainline replacement/feed as commuters then you should use the term frequently. You've got to have something to help you feel better while your management and the court are conducting a legalized form of robbery.

Again, I think it is just your perception. Perhaps your own defensiveness, or insecurity makes you feel like the mainline pilots look down on you. It probably doesn't matter what a mainline pilot says, you'll still feel the same.
