didn't realize your were still on this thread. what is the real story?
not starting a fight...just curious?
No Delay said:Well, thanks for the reply. I always see you bashing ALPA and then I see you get hammered on pretty hard...was just curious.
I don't like you or dislike you...just don't know you.
There is always 3 sides to every story

I keep reading things about him serving on ALPA as the treasurer but always putting ALPA and the other leaders down.
Then I have been hearing a lot about him stealing a computer and stealing some notes or minutes from some of the meetings.

FmrFreightDog said:Just hang around the Badda Bing Lounge. He'll either be the guy lecturing to an empty room about the evils of ALPA and the salvation that is the RJDC, or he'll be the bitter, angry guy writing on the bathroom wall. You can't miss him.
As a matter of fact, I'm not. I'll be the first to admit that ALPA has its flaws. However, between ALPA and nothing, I choose ALPA. And, let's face it, your main beef with ALPA has nothing to do with all this. As you said, it will be years before you're affected. In your mind, ALPA slighted you. Now, with all that pent up animosity, you have found the perfect time to lash out. Why, on the ASA ALPA board, you even made a comment to the effect of, "I wish I hadn't been right, but...." BS. Everybody knows that ALPA doesn't have the power it needs to have. Everybody knows that ALPA dropped the ball when it allowed multiple carriers to fly under the same banner. It's a dead horse. It's over. The mistake has been made. Most of us choose to move on and try to make the best of it from here. Some of us wallow in our rejection and look for every chance we can find to throw stones. Then again, some of us get so drunk at the BOD meeting that we have to be carried out of the room. Which of the three are you? (Hint: There may be more than one right answer.)JoeMerchant said:Are you one of the guys lecturing about the "salvation" of
ALPA? How's that going for you??????

JoeMerchant said:If it is indeed a "dead horse", then it doesn't matter what ASA, or CMR, or Pinnacle want in negotiations. The brand managements will use cost as a factor in who to give the contracts to. Unlike you, I don't believe it is a "dead horse". I agree with you that mistakes were made. I agree with you that ALPA shouldn't have allowed multiple carriers to fly under the same banner. If it is over as you say, then why continue with this facade of "bargaining" and thumping our chest? It is over according to you, isn't it?
If you think it is over, then go ahead and throw in the towel. I don't think it is over, but the first step to reversing it is to prevent more flying from going out the door.....

atlcrjdriver said:I'll admit that BL has done allot of dumb sh*t around hear but this has nothing to do w/ him. JA and SKW Inc made the call to close the SLC base for ASA open LAX. They also made the call to keep the CR7s in SLC and have SKW fly them. BL and SH were then told to adjust manpower accordingly. This can only be done in seniority based on what your bid sheet has written on it, training costs or not.
If you want to blame BL for something, how about that big blue waste of money at C-28.
atlcrjdriver said:JP, so you believe that BL made the call to close SLC on his own. That JA and SKW Inc. had nothing to do with this decision at all.
That and the intern crack was weak.
Try Again...
JoeMerchant said:No problem NoDelay. I'm not bashing ALPA, just don't believe in it anymore. I've seen the inside of ALPA and think it has contributed more to the problem than it has helped.
