I said it last year and I will say it again. Its going to be the only way to save this industry if oil continues to rise.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help!!!!! Just what we need.

It's easy to throw the "C" and "S" words around (Communism/Socialism), but their usage among chickensh it-scared-of-change Republicans is as hackneyed (and, needless to say, totally wrong) as throwing around the "scab" word these days.

If you are simply a conservative with Republican values and beliefs, so be it. To each their own. But don't start delving into political theory, get all McCarthyist and start accusing politicians of Marxist tendencies in order to justify it. It shows how little you really know.

Communism is overkill.

Socialism isn't. Just because you don't like to hear it doesn't mean it isn't true.

No one is happy with the Republicans right now, especially conservatives. But saying "CHANGE" without defining it and just "HOPING" that change is better is utterly irresponsible.

Obama is as far left as they come. And he's NEVER reached across the aisle on anything.

Actually, it isn't true. Do you know what the "means of production" are? If not, then you don't understand what socialism is. Everyone loves to throw around the world "socialism" whenever they don't like a new government policy, but few people actually know what it means.

Republicans must go

i so amazed that in this industry we have so many republicans. i love flying with you guys, i get to tool on you for the 3.5 days once i give you the courtesy to complain the first 2 legs about how much you hate the company and the career. hey look at the bright side we work at half the wages with no right to strike at all. we all live the dream beaten and intimidated into submission, but hey we have the right to bear arms, freedom of speech and how do i get to pay for anything for my family, oh wait, i know. voter republican for the tax cuts. do us all a favor get out of this industry, or educate yourselves a bit, these days the internet can make a scholar out of any idiot, i will save you some time in saying the following: republicans hate labor unions, and as any politician they get elected by people with money that don't care about us.
oh yeah, as long as i have to fly for a living i will vote for my grandmother with her alzenheimer before i vote for a republican, did i mentione she died 10 yrs ago.

I agree with your statement and it is very funny. I too do not understand why most pilots are Republican. Its beyond me. Anyways. How come you Republicans hear scream for re-regulation. I thought you guys didnt like government involvement in things, specially private enterprises.
No flame bait. Just a thought.

<sigh>

If you think the internet can make anyone a scholar, clearly you're not a scholar.

If you refuse to never vote for a Republican just because of the "R", you're not evaluating individual candidates, individual voting records, or current issues and proposals to deal with them.

As to the "right to strike", it is an inherent one and does not require government permission in triplicate. The fact that airline unions are too gutless to do this is a testament to the fact that things are simply not as bad as you want to think they are.

As to democrats being "labor friendly": In fact, they are "union friendly" . . . not necessarily the same thing. Obama wants to end federal oversight of the Teamster union. I submit that this is not necessarily a good thing for labor . . . but great if you're a mobster looking to take back the Teamsters. Prior to federal oversight and RICO lawsuits, the Teamsters were notoriously corrupt . . . but I guess they'll be good if Obama is in charge, eh?

In short, you are just as bad as the pilots you despise: you vote for a letter ("D"), not a platform or a candidate. The fact that you paid $10 bucks to get on FI.com and make this you're 10th post speaks VOLUMES.
