While I'm not thrilled with the French either I do realize that the world is turning to rely more and more on foreign labor. It really has nothing to do with whether or not we buy american. It has everything to do with how much money "so-and-so" company can save.

When can we start interviewing foreign pilots to take your job??

I believe that the percentages that have been spoken of as far as what part of an airbus or embraer is us, is not so much as the total % of the aircraft material as it is the total dollar amount that goes into the aircraft.

For instance small things such as an avionics package are not as big as a wing, but may carry a large price tag that is paid to an American company....

Nike shoes anyone???

Refund

Bally,

Please pm me with your contact info. I will neeed a receipt of what and when you spent at JetBlue (it must be in your name, not your company buying you a ticket). I will personally ensure you receive a full refund. If the companywon't do it, then I will personally. I don't want you to be jilted in any way.

As far as the rest of the paying public goes, I don't seem to hear too many complaints.

Sorry if my being pro-America and wishing for a strong country and economy seems like my being a sourpuss to you. A Boeing plant in my town whose production line which operated for over 30 years is being closed.

Bally

I don't think you are being pro American I just think that you are plain Ignorant. Your last name isnt Bush by any chance. If you ask me, which you arent, Pro American to me would be to keep simple minds like yours out of the military.

Whatever mess we are in financial is all but our own fault, not some other countries. Tarrif the Sh*t out of countries that don't compete fairly, boycott countries, ect.

Not having seen any other posts by Bally, my first impression is that he is a Southwest pilot that doesn't like the toughest competition his airline has ever seen.

Ruhiring, not defending Bally but have you ever heard of Western Pacific? They too were some tough competition.

Way to stir the pot, my friend.

1) I have enough experience with the People Dept at SWA to know they would never hire a nimrod like Bally.

2) To say that B6 is "the toughest competition" SWA has ever seen is a bit premature. While B6 has certainly done it right so far, when they have taken on and handily defeated an incumbant major airline or two, then they may be considered "tough competition." So far they appear to be mostly avoiding competition (wisely).

Reply to 1) Roger that!

Reply to 2) Nicely put StopNTSing. We only consider ourselves competition. Our goal (and business plan) focuses on our future. What the "other guys" do is great for them. Avoidance is a key part of being successful. Our apparent emulation of Southwest is working. The old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" is alive and well, for sure.

See ya.

I'll be conducting an ILS approach into MCO this morning utilizing some nice American Avionics from Honeywell, landing on my Goodyear Tires and stoking by IAE engines (PW and RR-- which is British, one of our greatest allies)-- so please drive your Honda Accord home and watch some of that Dog-eat-Dog on your Sony TV... Yeeesh!!!!

Boycott?

Hey Bally,

Does your boycott include not coming to JBU for an interview? Gee, I hope so! Unless, of course, part of your anger towards JBU stems from an unsuccessful attempt at acquiring employment here. Perhaps that's it? I guess the very thought of you flying a French airplane gives you nausea. I used to get the creeps flying my UH-1 back in the 70's knowing that it was made in Iran as well.

Try not to let it ruin your day.

Bally,

It takes a real lack of intellect to post something like that. Nice job.

Bally, you're unarmed in the battle of wits!

There, is that clear enough?

"jetBlue=80% US Military (active or have served before) Pilots."

Jet Blue pilots who have served our Country are awesome. Can't blame a man or women for needing a job, especially in this environment. Do the right thing and tell your very approachable CEO to BUY AMERICAN!!! Say no to drugs!

So........civilian pilots need not apply? Sounds like the passenger version of Fed-Ex.

Not at all true. I think you'll find that a lot of civilian pilots have either served or are serving now. Just an observation, that's all.
