Part of the story
CHQ is taking over Northeast, ASA is moving to DFW but there CRJ-70 are stating in ATL, Comair is moving some operation to ATL and ACA's Dojets are all moving to CVG.....This is from a Comair station manager that just got back from a meeting.
Most of this seems plausible, but you are implying that ASA will move to DFW in it's entirety except for the 70's. The truth is that Most of the 70's will be in ATL with some of them in DFW. The number of 50's moving to DFW will be the same number of 70's that move to ATL. In other words, same number of slots in ATL. An increase in DFW. ASA will not be downsizing it's presence in ATL. Not in the least bit (at least not at this time).
As far as BOS is concerned, let Comair have it. To cold for me. My guess is Chitaco will get more ERJ's to cover ACA's route structure there. Comair will continue to expand in the north east and in ATL markets. ASA will grow in DFW and slowly move west and north west replacing Skywest. This seems to be comensurate with the awards, lines, and hiring numbers. I certainly hope the rumor for the 45 aircraft are true, but I am not holding my breath.
