I know most of the Fracs are using the BB's. What are some of the apps you're using. Include the SW links so that I can evaluate them.

Currently we're using WXSys <http://www.wxsys.com/> but I know there are other aviation oriented apps for the BB

A developer-friend of mine is currently hacking UltraNav, so hopefully we'll have that up and running soon.

Thanks

If you really look at what is offered on that web site, you will see there is NOTHING of value offered for a Fractional Dispatcher or Pilot flying 30+ hours per week. It's all STATIC garbage. More up to date info exists at any FBO you are flying from or to. Nothing but static eyewash...

Cr^p, cr^p and more cr^p.

Trust dispatch and reliable sources.

For NJA, the plan is to provide releases and Ultra-Nav data (after it gets FAA approval) on your blackberry... perhaps end of the year time frame.

Ultra nav approved by the end of the year- haaaaaaaaaaaaa what year 2010?

It does make me chuckle.

Is Ultra-Nav also developing for the BB device? Have you seen a beta release yet?

I have a friend who's hacking it part-time for the RIM device. He's using some darn high tech SDK, and I provided him with the WinX version for the code....

But it's strictly a part-time project.

I use the following on my BB:

Fltplan.com http://www.fltplan.com/pda.htm

AirNav http://www.airnav.com (not PDA/BB specific, but still works well)

Google http://www.google.com (I Google crap all the time for phone #'s)

Thanks for the wxsys site, that seems pretty good, too!

What you mention are simply websites. I was looking more for BB Aviation oriented applications, such as the WXSYS. That's a stand-alone application, as opposed to a website.

thanks
