They ended the Q4 last year with $22 million in cash and $107 million in an irrevocable line of credit. They must have gone with the line of credit huh?

A quote from the press release:
"The airline ended the first quarter of 2010 with $28 million in unrestricted cash and $102 million in total liquidity."
Cash position improved in the first quarter, up $6 million.
Operating profits are neat but net income is better. I don't think VA has ever generated a net income.Another quote:
“Despite the near doubling of fuel costs during the quarter, our top line progress continues to exceed our expectations and we remain on track for full year operating profit in 2010”
Why cant this country have a heterosexual celebration day?
It's because homosexuals are an oppressed demographic (discrimination etc.) whereas heterosexuals are not. There is no need for empowerment organizations for heteros.
It's the same reason that there is no need for a male advocacy organization or a white equivalent to the NAACP.
My income still doesn't cover my expenses but I paid my electric bill with my credit card and deposited cash into my savings and I still have $14,300 credit limit on my Capital One card.

VA is actively servicing its debt.

According to Cush, his costs are lower than United's primarily because of labor. Nice. If airlines like Virgin America become the "new" LCC's, looks like we'll be revisiting any gains we union pilots make this decade.
And just because their cash balance went up doesn't mean they were cash flow positive. It is more likely they just borrowed from a credit line and put the proceeds into cash. At least a few airlines, including mine, did the same during the last credit crunch, fearing that lines of credit made available to them previously would be withdrawn in the crisis. Had they been cash flow positive, I can't imagine that they wouldn't have loudly proclaimed that accomplishment.
Looks like Branson made another deposit.
Someone has a mancrush....What would be wrong with that? Branson does own 25% of the airline, and owns the brand name. Since when is it wrong or bad for a person to invest money in their businesses? At least they aren't taking out government loans, or living off bankruptcy like most every other airline in the US has done over the past 10 years.
And before you start arguing good/bad business decisions, I'll tell you that Branson's opinions and ideas on how to run a business carry FAR more weight than anything you can say. He has walked the walk, I doubt you have.
