take a vfr sectional and fold it so when you place it under your headset, it limits your view. I think I saw that one on Martha Stewart.

Martha Stewart with a VFR sectional under her headset, Now I am all hot and bothered. Did she have on her gardening gloves also?

..............?

I've done the VFR chart thing.

I like the Jepp shades the best. A friend of mine had the Francis hood. I laughed. It looks like a viewmaster or something.

Hoods

I had a friend who designed some kind of contraption using a baseball cap. She attached some kind of material around the bill of the cap which blocked the view. Very effective, and cheap.

I always just used Foggles. I also used the plastic rollup device that fits over your face and has an elastic band on the back to hold it to your head.

MAPD students were told to purchase a contraption that looked something like welders' goggles. That may be a Francis hood. I had to use it on my flight during my interview. The thing limited view, alright, but was very uncomfortable.
