The Wang Chung awards (those that stand out among the countless airport restaurants I've eaten at, most of which are pretty much the same):

Homestyle Cookin': Dyersburg, TN (DYR) - Old-Timers cookin up down-home Tennessee chow

High-Class: Muncie, IN (MIE) - Richard's or whatever it's called nowadays

On-Airport BBQ: Columbus, OH (Bolton, TZR): JP's!!

Neat-O: Cleveland, OH (Lakefront, BKL): Hornblower's, which is situated inside a barge next to the airport

Yummy: Morgantown, WV (MGW): Can't remember the name, but the food was excellent and the chef/cook came out to meet the customers

Local hangout/Bar and Grill: Gross Ile, MI (ONZ): Hanger Inn, a little burger/beer joint across the street

Williamsburg, VA (KJGG) has a good restaurant with EXCELLENT dessert. And isn't that all we really want anyway?

Very good restaurant indeed!

Hummel, Saluda, VA (W75) has two restaurants on the field. One is German and the other is all you can eat seafood buffet.

The Warbirds Cafe in Driggs ID is great, and so is the collection of toys that Doc Sugden has in the hanger there.

I guess any of the 94th Aero Squadron and associated restaurants are good. I liked the wild wings cafe (RDG) when it was open. All you can eat wings for $8 or something like that. My current favorite happens to be Legal Seafoods at DCA (far north end of the airport outside security).

I still like Sikeston http://www.airnav.com/airport/KSIK because there is a restaurant there called Lambert's and it is wonderful. It is off field http://www.airnav.com/airport/KSIK but they will send a shuttle for you and if you call the FBO on the radio a few minutes before you land they will be there waiting for you and will take you to the head of the line. My wife and kids love it. Here is a link to their site: http://www.throwedrolls.com/ If I'm lying I'm dying. We've been several times and we have never been dissapointed.

Try McDonnel's (sp?) near gate B17 at ORD. Ask for the Large Mack, I don't believe it's on the menu.

The Hangar Inn, Pierce County Airport (1S0) just south of Seattle. Right on the ramp, great food, good prices. Very popular with the non-flying public too.

Also Lana's Hangar Cafe, Hoquiam Washington (HQM), on the central coast. Great burgers & fries.
