Internship is great experience and will transfer well to ANY airline. It is 121 experience other people wont have. Looks good and helps you understand the career you are getting into.

and pays $9 an hour (the only internship i know of that pays)

There are others that pay. UPS for example (which I did in 2004) is a year long position, salary and paid well above probationary pilot pay. 121 exposure, training environment, Level D simulators, interacting with big customers, helping be a part of the best cargo airline is all experience second to none.

If you can take the time, do it. It may open other doors that you dont even know exist.
