Who cares - I'll where a sombrero and a speedo to work, just pay me!

That would be okay with me if you're hot - but not for all the Houston pilots with a big pot belly.

As far as us in the CAL system go, most of the regional jet pilots (me included) are in great shape. Then the 737 pilots are not in great shape, and next the 757 pilots are a little chubbier still. Finally are the 777 guys. LOL They are all big and chubby. It's so weird but very true.

I guess when your plane gets bigger, your belly gets bigger too. LOL :cartman:

I know that pilot uniforms are based on maritime uniforms but, Delta pilots look like a bunch of Captain Steubings! The double breasted jackets look goofy.

I agree on Lufthansa uniforms and FA's. I also like the latest UPS uniforms.

All of the FA's @ Singapore are smokin'!
Outside of America, almost all pilot uniforms are double breasted.

Pilots should dress professionally... Act the part you want to get paid, or if you're not getting the money yet... act the part that you want to get paid for.

I agree. I'll add a a few points. Here is to all those that think just because they stepped off thier last paid flight for the day looking professional stops. You see them all the time walking through the terminal. Tie pulled halfway down to thier gut...I rather see a clip on than a regular tie if you don't know how to tie one. Or just as bad, walking with the tie off and the epaulets on. Just go into the stall and put on a nice golf shirt with your uniform pants. Still incognito and you don't look like you just walked out of a five o clock bar.

Pants that don't match the jacket. Real nice. After market pants that are real close, fine, faded dockers=not fine.

Its not as important what kind of uniform you wear, but the wearing it properly...ie clean, ironed and most importantly ON!

I've always had an eye for fashion, so it was only natural that I would not really like wearing uniforms. I do think it is a good idea to jazz up the uniform a bit with a nice belt or even a bold scarf. You'd be surprised how much a pair of really good quality gloves can add to the wardrobe. I also like to wear colorful socks too, as that adds alot to the boring uniform. You can forget about the company issued sweaters or <gasp> sweater vests too. LOL They are just way too boring for words.

Anyway, the best dressed pilots by far are the jetBlue pilots. Very nice uniforms. Nice style, very trendy and effective.

I also like the Delta uniform with the elegant double breasted jacket. Although not as nice as jetBlue, it is a nice touch.

CAL is definitely at the bottom with the worst uniform. The big gut, white socks and black velcro tennis shoes that all the CAL guys wear really don't help much either. LOL

I know some might disagree with my opinions, but hey, we can't all have fashion sense. LOL

Your a whore and I have proof. What do you dress your crabs up as?

Agreed. Having gone through customs many times with them, Virgin fa's are greatly overrated. Of course they are better then any US fa's, but they ain't all the part-time models they are made out to be. They got plenty of females with that disenchanted Yorkshire look that turns me off of English women. Not too shocking given how much Sir Richard pays...

thats because they all have cankles.

Had a chief pilot (pt 91) tell me once, "if you expect to be treated like a professional, look like one". This has stuck with me throughout my career.

It doesn't matter. Double breasted still looks goofy...especially on pilot uniforms...especially with Delta. The only one that can get away with it is David Letterman.

Since when were American's the hotbed for fashion anyways! I suppose if 80% of the population were not obese, the double breasted jacket would look very good on most. At least it covers up the GUT most US pilots have these days!

The two most beautiful women I've ever in person were in the same crew. Air France in IAD. One was black the other was white. Then I got on a people mover and sat next to the oldest FA's I'd ever seen. Both United.
Internatonal carriers have it right. Fa's should be Young, pretty, and friendly.
Shame on me but its what I think.

Not only do they look good they treat other crewmembers and collegues with respect and professional courtesy!

I was blown away, but not too surprised, when I saw a gay DL FA snapping his fingers at a jumpseater (who brought the crew gifts) when he asked if it was ok to move back to an empty row in a half empty biz class! The horror!
