A friend told me PINK TIES are authorized at Delta this month (breast cancer awareness thing).

Is there anything better than a pilot uniform with a bright PINK tie? I think not!

Agreed. Having gone through customs many times with them, Virgin fa's are greatly overrated. Of course they are better then any US fa's, but they ain't all the part-time models they are made out to be. They got plenty of females with that disenchanted Yorkshire look that turns me off of English women. Not too shocking given how much Sir Richard pays...

Yeah we can't get away with that. Our society is filled with lazy bums, unhealthy lifestyles and waaaaaaaaay to much political correctness. I mean just look at it man! We had to change the name of stewardess to flight attendant so the homos wouldn't get offended and to make it equal! Fat girls cried too b/c the wanted to be "Air waitresses" too and not only hot girls. Before you know it you're gonna be looking at a playboy filled with 400 lbs bit***s! and you WILL have to LOVE it or you are politically incorrect and intolerant of real beauty!

Also, as everyone probably knows, yes, leather jackets are totally hot. We have the same uniform as CAL, but at least we can jazz it up with leather. CAL on the other hand has been resitant with joining the 21st century apparently and they don't have the leather. LOL

I guess the fact that we at XJT have the leather as well as FedEX, UPS and Southwest do too. Seems that all the really profitable airlines have the leather..Hmm, maybe there is something to that. LOL

I know that pilot uniforms are based on maritime uniforms but, Delta pilots look like a bunch of Captain Steubings! The double breasted jackets look goofy.

I agree on Lufthansa uniforms and FA's. I also like the latest UPS uniforms.

The award for the best dressed pilots goes to Mesa for their blue wrinkled dockers and purple windbreaker. Add the, i just slept on a purple board in the plane look for additional points.

What about an over-sized aviator watch? Nothing comforts a nervous passenger like seeing a pilot walk up to the gate with a huge watch with about seven sets of hands and an E6B bezel. The only thing that would be better is if someone could design one with a sextant built into it somehow.

I think we should have more bling so the shorter among us aren't confused w/ the flight attendants-- wings- maybe extra stripes for years of service to industry and others for company- other stripes for hours flown- a bar on our chest for every type rating-- sounds gay- but the public values experience- maybe if the public could actually see the difference between a pilot out of college and a 20 year veteran, they'd put pressure on the outsourcing.

(yeah- i'll repeat that it's gay-- but if we could do it discretely enough and it helps our leverage....)

oh-- good shoes, shined up before every trip-- new shirts- iron w/ starch- they make the travel cans so you can bring it along... it's really not hard- hang up your pants- and dont' get them shiny over-ironing them- just get the wrinkles out from behind the knees and keep the crease that the dry cleaner put in.

and i still want patches for the leather jackets(!)

With all the retirements, CAL could be the most secure major out there. Also, there is a good chance that CAL will be the highest paid eventually with a new contract.
