If you were to lose all your ratings, would you start from private pilot to earn them all back? Or would you try something different?

No way. I would do almost anything else before I would do this. It's fine when you are young but after you have kids it's not worth it. Especially for what we make.

The problem with our business is it is the all about the haves and have nots....
Many do very well with a lot of time at home, and many make peanuts and live at the airport and hotels.....thank god I'm a lucky one......for now.

The job is not overrated! Go to the bar and tell the girls you are a pilot. They know exactly how to rate the job. As they instantly disappear, you will know how to rate it too!

Hotel bars are about the only thing underrated about this job.
