Been hearing DEN rumored to be next SWA crew base?

Big rumors about DEN to be next crew base. What have you been hearing?

Been hearing not. More likely TPA, LAX, SMF, PHL, or maybe even SAN. DEN is probably out of the running.

No it's not out of the running. That was the rumor floating around when Denver briefly dropped to 7 RON's, below the threshold of 8. Denver will be increasing to as many as 15 RON's. It's at least in the top 3.

Well if the word is it isn't DEN then it will be DEN or not.

I guess LA and tpa-
Den authorities have to get out of their own way before its based

Could you clarify that? I heard something a while ago about the tax incentives or tax burdens that go into the DEN base decision. Thanks.

SWA makes crew bases into a maint base as well. The airport taxes all maint. parts in inventory at DEN, thus the very quick removal of Frontier's maint from DEN when Republic bought them.
