Oh man, I hope he's OK. 1/4" more, right through the eyeball. Hopefully it drove into his sinuses and not his brain. Good luck to him.

Just another reason to hurry up and get 4 bars on the shoulders. Ouch!!!

He's another Netjets pilot and a remarkable man.

It happen down in Mexico and I'm happy to report that he made a full recovery. The company did a great job taking care of him. As much as us Netjets pilots like to bitch about the company, when the sh*t hits the fan they take care of us.

In this case the company arranged for all medical care and even ferried an aircraft down there to take him back to the good ole US of A.

Every pilot's secret terror - being ill or injured out of the good ol' USA to the point where you end up in a hospital of unknown qualities and/or sterility.

I can see this poor guy saying "No, no, don't leave me here, it's not as bad as it looks, I can do the leg. I want to go home."

What does that mean?

Ask just about any NetJets Pilot about the guy with the static wick in his eye. You will not hear a negative word about him. Not many people have put in the time and effort he has in support of our pilot group.

Actually as NetJets pilots we have access to the Mayo Clinic emergency hotline 24/7. I understand that the pilot was treated by a Mayo clinic trained doctor in Mexico. Not many companies offer that.

Um, I think that it means that he is a good person, and everyone in the company likes him.

How old are you?

Aaah! Yuck...

Made the maintenance guys buy nerf balls to put on the static wicks this morning. Maybe my appetite will come back some day. Glad hes ok though.

I always keep an eye out for those things during preflight.

So wrong, but I still laughed. I wonder if he left it in there would he still shock the car door on a cold, dry morning...

Seriously though, thats pretty narly lookin. Hope he gets better fast.
