Considering how many times they have found guns, knives etc. etc. I think that does make us safer than if they didn't check at all. For you to think otherwise makes me sorry for you.

You think that wasn't happening before the TSA was formed? A little lesson in reality: If terrorists want to cause damage to a plane, they will find a way. Taking people's toothpaste away isn't going to stop them. How will body scanners stop terrorists who find ways to bypass the system? At least you'll get to look at x-rayed penis at work all day, so not all is lost.

Where is the line though? There has to be one. The public has tolerated the TSA's worthlessness, ineptitude, and invasion up until now... How would you like your 13 year old daughter going through with some high school dropout 55 year old perv running it?
