Hi!
Just so there's no confusion:
AWA = America West Airlines
they are a hub and spoke airline and fly "Big" jets, and have "Small" jets codeshare feeding them (mosly/only? Mesa)
AWAC = Air Wisconsin
they are a "regional" and fly "Small" (and maybe some "big"-100 seat RJs? or at least not small?) they code share for UAL and are now also doing AirTran feed hubbed out of ATL. THey used to have the best regional airline contract (well over $100K for captains, with a company funded retirement plan (not just 401Ks)
AWA is expanding their "Big" jet flying, and is cutting back on RJs.
They are hiring pilots and will throughout 2004. They made a net profit in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of this year:
Info:
"As you may have noticed, we are already ramping up hiring for flight crews in anticipation of 2004 growth. This growth will be accomplished through increased fleet utilization and additional aircraft. "

I just went to their website, and they say there are no openings. I believe that their is a pool of AWA guys who have passed the intervew and are waiting for classes?
If anyone knows how you can send in AWA apps at this time, we'd appreciate the info.
