Regarding PJ....heard that TP charged the owners for TAWS a year ago and spent it, but not on TAWS. The aircraft owners are being told that TAWS is installed but an "emergency service letter" was issued for those particular aircraft rendering them unairworthy for at least several weeks while the "service letter" is complied with.

Whatever it is worth, there is no "emergency service letter" for any TAWS/EGPWS system.

Is that you, RV?

Isn't it illigal for companies to say anything bad about you?I thought they could only tell you if they would rehire you or not. That sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Pseudo, English... yep, I got the call about that too... amazing how us ex PJ pilots get the info directly from their pilots and ex-pilots... word goes out FAST! These days though, I just laugh at this whole situation cuz I saw it coming at least a year ago.. it wasn't the first time they spent the $$ on other things... :D . What do they call that? KARMA??

Heard tonight from my "source" that a total of 15 pilots are out on the street....and at least one owner has taken his airplane down to Presidential Aviation in LGB. I guess Presidential is taking some on the PJ pilots too.

Presidential out of LGB started out last year from PJ managed airplanes ... according to my buddies that work there, they now love their jobs and schedules. Night and day from PJ. I'm not surprised that other aircraft owners and pilots will now consider Presidential. They've actually been around --originally from FL. I wish them all luck and success in that they provide the charter public the safety and honesty which they deserve, and that the pilots are valued and treated humanely and with respect.

I don't feel sorry for PJ whatsoever.. it's just a matter of time before they close shop and operate under a "new" name... following the likes of Xtra Jet.

I'm thinking their planes must not be RVSM'd either.

I heard a PJ pilot on the radio tonight, in what I think was a GII, bemoaning moderate chop at 270 and requesting 280. He was negative RVSM. A gulfstream without RVSM? What's up with that?

Hey...here's a totally unrelated subject. However, since there are lots of SoCal aviators on this forum....I've been thinking.

What about a SoCal Flightinfo.com gathering......a networking, bashfest kind of evening. 94th Aero Squadron maybe?

Anyone think this is a good idea?

Socal Flightinfo

Pseudo,

Probably not a good idea. After all the badgering, berating and name calling that there's been on here about PJ, Trans-Exec, Clay Lacy, Spirit, Avjet, West Coast Charters, AirCastle etc., how many guys 'n gals would show up?

TransMach

Oh, I agree.....that's why I was going to suggest that if there was a gathering, everyone could leave there "pseudo" name at home. No one would have to give their handle at the gathering.....what fun would that be once we returned home to our computers. Just a thought.

Good point, though...Trans.
