WAAAAAAAAAAAh, there is like 5 planes tryin to call that place at any given moment.

Quit yer bitchin

Guys, I'm almost positive that this was just one incident whre someone was just fu...ing w/ me. I have flown into Atl many times before as well as other major airports and different types of flying where the radio was extremely congested. The ops person was specifically trying to receive my x-missions and I had to transmit 4 separate times before he finally received them. I don't mean to beat this to death but I just want to set the record straight, I can tell the difference between a congested radio freq. and someone trying to block a transmission purposefully.

Hey ****************************** bag, weren't you spouting off CMR+ or your striking for you new rates? We see how well that went. Get a fuking clue you steal just as much mainline flying as any other regional out there.

Yes I was. Note my previous post about the NMB not releasing us. Bottom line, we were not allowed to strike. The NMB made it very clear to us that we could have held out for another five to ten years, and they would still not release us to strike. At some point reality sets in. They DID NOT have to release us. We were not allowed to strike for Comair "hourly rates". We still did better in all other areas, brining the W-2 (what counts) equal to, if not slightly higher than Comair's.

Like I said, this goes back to the Mesa and Chiniqua contracts that the NMB were referencing as "the bar" that we needed to raise. Since the Comair contract was pre-9/11, it was looked at as an aberration by the NMB, and not a legitimate target as we were looking at it. Since Mesa and Chiniqua only made mild gains, that is all we had to build upon. Blame game? No... Just stating the facts.

This is a main reason why our company is getting bid out of our current contract with CAL. We very well might have priced ourselves out of a job. I am glad that we did. Notice that unlike Mesa or Chiniqua, XJT can't just go out and get flying overnight for those 69 planes. While we offer a quality product, we are more expensive. So be it. Highest pay, til the last day.

Man you are an IDIOT.. DO YOU REALIZE JETBLUE RATES are about the same as RP? YOU are spineless just like everyone you call whores. I don't fly for CHQ and really don't care but quit blaming all the problems of the industry on one or two airlines. You should have gone on strike if you truely believed all the crap you are dishing out. The CHQ guys can give that same sad excuse you give about settling for the contract they got. And so on and so on. Nobody has stepped up to the plate because nobody wants to be out of a job, including You!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you don't want them, or are you saying you'd get more to fly them. How much would you ask for 20 more seats?
I'd ask that they be flown at mainline Continental, just like the CAL ALPA Pilot's Scope dictates.

Is that so you can get your sweet flow thru? Back in the day the majors, when pay was great, work easy, and competition non-existent (or at least with heads in the sand), wouldn't hire from their commuters.....It'd take 5 years at CAL to make what I'm making now at RAH. Plus no junior manning...

Mid Pac - YS-11's are sweet rides

I don't even know why I ever read a Regional forum on any message board...makes me puke in my mouth....

Actually we get 150% pay over 70 hours. I'm sure you knew that and took that into account when you did your calculations. Adjusted for an 85 hour credit line (very, very easy to do here and well within the realm of average line values) our E-190 pay, years 1-12, are 12% higher for Captains and 55% higher than First Officers compared to Chautauqua. Yeah, that's "about the same".

And if you adjust the .5% rate for working on weekends and holidays then add the 169% pay for sim support minus 10% per diem and oops, forgot about the 7% get to fly a new shiney jet pay, then yes it is about the same.

Talking about hourly pay there bud. And 3 bucks more after year 5 for an EMB 190 capt. is "about the same". Yes it is more and should be, but not as much as many people think. Don't forget all those union dues and assessments you don't pay either.

Damn I wish it was me that blocked your freq. Whores....it's a fitting name for CHQ pilots. I have absolutely no repect for you guys at CHQ. So, whoever blocked your freq and pissed the hell out of you tools....my hats off to ya. Why didn't I think of this?? Oh ya, I don't listen to that damn chick that uses ebonics......."we straight, we straight".

The last 2 times I have flown out of ATL my out times radio transmissions have been continuously blocked. I confirmed this with the op's person in ATL because they said each time I tried to transmit my out times, somebody else was purposefully pressing their mike button. Whoever is doing this needs to grow up,.. and don't me that b.s. that we are taking your flying in ATL, if you have a problem with that you need to call mgmt. @ delta. For those of you that continue this childish act, you not only make your self look bad, but also make the others at your airline, whom I have to come to know as upstanding and professional pilots, look bad.

We don't block you on the ops freq, we just get tired of the slowness of the way you guys speak. If you wouldn't sound like you suffer from down syndrome and speak at a normal pace we wouldn't have this problem.

Delta->Comair->Chautauqua->Mesa->Freedom->"the next guy"

Follow the trail of whoredom. Who Cares. When and where did it start?

So let me see if I have the jist of this thread......

One group of immature idiots is mad at a second group of immature idiots for taking their flying, nevermind the fact that the first group of idiots did the very same thing to the mainline group of idiots in the first place? Add to it that both the first and second group of idiots are steamed at the mainline group of idiots for having the gall to try and steal their flying back by accepting payrates that closely match the rates that the first group of idiots used to take the mainline flying in the first place.

Do I have it about right?

That's what I'd ask for too. Too late for us.

Will you(pilot group) take the bait?

I'm sick of people calling the 170 a Baby Airbus. Doesn't compare.

Nope. The flow through to CAL is history.

You seem to have been around for a while in this biz' I haven't. But, my beliefs parallel yours. How can Comair call anybody anything.

Unfortunately, Comair had to match the competition (read that as you, among some others ).

I'm not talking about some obscure, rarely comes into play, hidden compensation trick you can take advantyage of if you know how to massage the rules. Our 150% override applies to ALL flying (and deadheading, etc.) over 70 hours in a month. Including vacation hour credits and sick time. This is a benefit that 100% of our pilots get in their checks anytime they fly or credit over 70 hours a month, which is the vast, vast majority of the time. You have to go out of your way dropping trips, by choice, not to get lots of premium pay every month.

But since you brought it up, yes our per diem is higher and we get double pay on some holidays.

Perhaps you w-hores just need your own frequency, then this would not happen. Better yet, why not get a decent contract so it is not so cost effective for you to invade everyone else's turf.

Anyone else see the irony in these comments?

Who's next? What other regional's livelihood is your cancer going to infect next.

So when Expressjet starts flying for Delta, or Northwest, or UsAir, or who ever, whose cancer is it going to be then?

Surely, not yours!!!

This whole industry is full of whores--some just wear nicer uniforms than others.
