Some terms you might want to familiarize yourself with:

1.Seniority within feasibility

2.Fly Now, Grieve Later

3.Right-size equipment to market

Enjoy the next 8 years!

Skywest just ordered a whole butload of MRJs, I am sure they will offer your furloughs F/O seats. You guys are officially a collection of morons...

Swing and a miss.

The MRJ isn't due out until 2017, and isn't allowed with JCBA scope. Too heavy.

It was a bad choice guys. Enjoy the worst PBS in the industry and loss of control of your schedule. Also enjoy deadheading at the beginning and end of your trip as scheduled because Skd won't let you just commute home instead. (No fake dhd)

It won't be mrj's, but the skyw purchase of xjet was contingent on a deal with Ual to exchange 75 145s for large RJs for xjet. Expect an announcement.

I'm reconsidering my desire to go to Ual. It will just be an xjet culture with bigger airplanes.

Look at post number one and the number 1 bullet point. That is all CAL was worried about.

I believe "seniority within feasibility" is an excuse we hear in regards to PBS. For example, a junior pilot ends up with a trip a senior pilot requested; we are told PBS cannot always honor seniority - "seniority within feasibility." In any case, it passed; it's over; time to move forward.

This industry has the steering wheel firmly mounted to the back of the pilot group,it is with absolute certainty that this is the cornholing of the millenium. The UCAL pilots rolled over and stuck their taters out for ravaging. Expect it in droves. Revisit this in a year or 2.

What he said.

Doesn't matter. This time next year you won't be able to find a "Yes" voter.

The same sort of management rights are NOT in this contract. We greive everything and when it's ruled on, that's the rule. This is a BIG difference. We have language with teeth. This is a game changer I can't wait to hit this mgt team with.

No fake DH is going to be a problem. And scope is worrisome to say the least. However, the real reason one might consider NOT coming to work at UAL is this is what you can expect from your L-UAL bretheren:

Deal with it you 33 percenters.

3 reasons. Pilot unity. Arbitrated SLI that is now somewhat fairer as it could have been a windfall for CAL guys. In house union can start much sooner. The contract is not perfect but waiting for the unknown is not wise at this time.
