I hate to say this, gentlemen, but there are surely echos of ATA on these pages. A quick perusal of the ATA crew site would pull many of these things word for word from the posts leading up to April 3d, 2008. I sincerely hope your outcome will be different than ours.

With all this talk, what r yall's thoughts on AAWW stock rallying? Should we all b going long on some front month AAWW calls monday morning? lol...Seriously, for those of u savy investors, would u anticipate a rally when or if this news breaks?

It sounds like we are gonna have 3 400's on the property by Sept. the first -400F is coming April 2, the next one in June, and the first BCF in Aug-Sep.

And the poor LCF guys that bid the airplane to stay away from UAAA...

Props;

Can we hold you to this prediction! Please tell me you aren't basing this on something Buzz Lightyear, Harpo or Bauer has said.

I want to believe that new planes are coming but those three have claimed new planes are coming for so long that they have no credibility left with the crews.

And the only thing wrong with a UAAA overnight is that they are too short. The scenery is mighty nice........is it too much to ask for a couple of days to get to know the local women! And please don't tell the girls in crew resource control or they will shorten our stays even more!

Talked myself out of buying AAWW at 8.99 a while back, hit 45.00 a day or two ago. Folks thought Flynn was mad when he issued a stock buy-back at about 26.00. This is why I will always be poor!

When I'am sitting in the left seat going down 31 left in JFK, then I will believe it. But I hope that the normal blood letting won't start now that we have lost the contract. The V/P D/O C/P can say what ever they want. DEL calls all the shots.

There are 2 EIA mx guys in SIN doing the bridging right now...

The airplane will be metric for the first few months, too.

This rumor must be true, the company (Atlas) just announced today, via company email, that all furloughed pilots will be recalled, numerous captain opportunities, and additional hiring! :D

Do you really think the moves are a result of the LCF's coming to Atlas? We're talking 6 months until they show up. You might be right, but that is an awful long lead time, plus some classic upgrades in there as well.

Time will tell.

Now THERE'S some good news! I had been hearing the rumblings but it's nice to hear a report of some concrete facts on the matter. Awaiting the phone call.

PURCHASE, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. (AAWW) (Nasdaq:AAWW - News), a leading provider of global air cargo assets and outsourced aircraft operating services, announced today that Boeing (NYSE:BA - News) has selected Atlas Air to provide key supply-chain support for the production of Boeing’s all-new commercial jetliner, the 787 Dreamliner.

Beginning toward the latter part of 2010, Atlas Air will operate Boeing’s Dreamlifter fleet of four 747-400 aircraft that have been modified to transport major assemblies for the 787 Dreamliner from suppliers around the world to Boeing production facilities in the United States.

The parties have structured the nine-year agreement in a manner consistent with the outsourcing business model under which Atlas Air typically operates. Under that model, Atlas Air will receive contractually determined revenues for the operation of the Dreamlifter aircraft, with Boeing assuming responsibility for certain direct costs, including fuel. Under the CMI arrangement, Boeing will provide and maintain ownership of the aircraft assets.

“Atlas Air is very excited to partner with Boeing as it ushers in a new era in air travel with the first all-new jet airplane of the 21st century,” said William J. Flynn, President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings, Inc. “We look forward to working closely with Boeing and to providing world-class Dreamlifter service.

“Our dynamic customer solutions and our ability to integrate with our customers’ operations set us apart from other participants in the aircraft operating solutions market. We believe that our global scope and scale, high-quality service and reliability, cost-effective operations, and premium customer service create a compelling value proposition for our customers.”

Mr. Flynn added: “We are well positioned to execute on our growth initiatives and to drive future revenues and earnings. In addition to the expected start-ups of our new CMI service for Boeing in the second half of this year and for SonAir in the second quarter, we are focused on introducing our new Boeing 747-8 freighters into service in 2011 and on adjacent dry leasing opportunities in our Titan subsidiary.

“When fully implemented, we expect that the annual contribution per aircraft from our Dreamlifter service will meet or exceed the current average contribution that we achieve in our 747-400 ACMI service.”

All Atlas guys/gals-

Best of luck with the Dreamlifter program. You are getting a mature program, and you're welcome for that. ;)

The airplanes are a mix of 747/737NG/757/767 and 777 parts, along with a few maytag dishwasher parts too.

Do not expect Boeing to hold to any kind of schedule. They are known for delaying the departure because the "part" isn't ready right at the last minute.

Good luck.

well, to answer my question, I made over 6k today off AAWW long calls and bull put spreads after the Boeing Dreamlifter news came out!...The stock rallied from 45 in change and soared to 49.10 at close and holding strong in after hours...Hopefully tomorrow will have more volume and the stock will continue to go up. Verry interesting day for AAWW!
