I'm on 3 year pay at 70.50 on the 737. In 7/04 it goes to 86.00 and 7/05, 104.00. Then 73 and 75 pay will be the same. L1011 pay is 10-12$ more per hour. 12 yr Capt L1011 is 195.00. If things continue I should upgrade year 4-5 on the 737 at 160.00.

The AirTran info sounds pretty much correct. Two other things to consider when comparing- our contract will be up for renewal after next year . . . . and our growth.

Current predictions are that we will double in size in the next four years.

The only reason they have suspended new hire classes is because there are four aircraft we were supposed to be getting from Boeing this year that they have asked us to defer until next year, so that they can send them to Hawaiian. I am sure when they know when the next aircraft will be showing up, they will re-schedule the classes.

ATA Medical Coverage

Are medical/dental etc. insurance available at ATA from date of hire, or is there a waiting period?

Thanks! Can't wait to start!

AirTran Interviews Resume

I have it from an EXTREMELY reliable source at AirTran that interviewing will "crank up" again Oct 28. We will be putting those hired into a pool. I can't see us increasing the numbers in the relatively small pool that we already have unless the company knows we will need to "gen-up" very quickly in the near future and put a lot of folks through training.

Our new, signifigantly larger, training center is supposed to be completed and start operations by the end of the year. Combine that with quadrupling our presence in DFW starting in January and I think its clear to see that AirTran is getting ready to put alot of people into training the first of the year, or sooner.

Just my somewhat informed two cents.

Cheers!!
