So as part of IOE, are all the new hires lined up in front of a deice truck to be baptised? Does this have anything to do with the high turnover rate in the sort, or the new clinic/pharmacy on site? :erm:

I am yet to see the Hoot's water treatment plant after a few days of death by deice. I've heard that the amount of foam is quite a sight to see. :D

You sir owe me one new keyboard!!! Spewed coffee allover this one. :angryfire

ROFLMAO. I can actually picture this in my head.

Wow. That clearly sucks even more than the current deal. How in the world did you guys even get a sort done "back then"?

It was a much smaller operation back then--well before my time. The sort was much shorter so airplanes arrived later and were loaded much ealier. (Even in '96, the last departure was scheduled about 5:10am)

Back then they had only one runway, today's 22R/4L. The tower was added, then the local RADAR site and finally the 2nd runway (~'95).

You know fodc8, it is you that has the anger problem. It's called passive anger. You have just posted a remark that abxdx asked for factual figures from. You could not provide them and continued to "act" as if your response was valid. By doing so you are provoking abxdx to aggression then you try and patronize him by saying he is the one that has the anger problem.

You sir, are need of some meds and professional help. Others in your group have been guilty of the same in the past. Is there a coincidental pattern or a real issue that is reason for concern? Hmmmm, things to ponder.

Shooter, I believe he asked TWICE for the sarcasm to end. I see nothing unreasonable from his remarks.

We, the pilots from Astar, are aware that the ABXA pilots think we are not "worthy". We fly junk, can't land if a cloud is around, signed a shi%&y contract, blah, blah. blah.

Stop the pissing contest!

Ponder that

As I understand it there is a separate deice pond area that all the gycol is collected in and then bacteria eats it up.

All I am saying is if you are going to throw some B.S. out there. Be able to back it up with some kind of actual proof. You ASTAR guys make a lot of posts that are simply not true. If you are calling someone out or a group out back it up. Ohhh and by the way, every person on this forum is sarcastic, so why should I have to bite my tounge because someone put out a post, was given the numbers that are correct, and now that person is trying avoid the subject.

Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you actually have to come to ILN to go missed on a CAT2 approach? I watched Flightview all night and as far as I could see you guys did not even bother coming in. How many aircraft actually made an approach. Please enlighten me if I am saying something wrong here. It looked to me like you kept a lot of aircraft on the ground at the outstations or dropped them into intermediate stations. From what I saw you did not even try...

Yep, that's me. And true. Otherwise, the fabulous french nightmare would have been on the ramp along with all those wunnerful DC9's. Presuming they got in the air.

I have personally experienced the ILN Tower declaring CATII ops., use 22R, and all the while 22L was severe clear. (I know it was ducks walking this past weekend for both runways. This was a fog bank last winter.) And have the tower refuse my request for a visual approach to 22L. And 22R was visible the whole way down the chute as well. But, it was "CATII". No flames, just what happened.

As I said before, at least one runway was CAT2 almost the whole night.. I know this to be fact... I was there and saw it with my own two eyes....

abxdx, we could come up with the holy grail and it still wouldn't matter because ABXA is "the bomb".

My point is that he wanted to keep this thread from going the way of yahoo.

TWA(I think an ABXA pilot) had a saying under one of his posts---to argue on the internet is not absurd, it's retarded.
