Guess it is the ramblings of a madman. Back in the day, ASA had its own routes, developed by its own marketing department, flown with airplanes it owned, financed in part by the shareholders of the Company and flown by passengers holding ASA tickets.

None of that stuff seems to exist anymore. When I hear about Jerry putting airplanes one place or the other, I think about Enron protecting money from JEDI in the ChewCo account.

Wow, I thought I was the only one to RANT. Sheez. When again will we give more concessions on scope? If we have to go BK again, anything is possible--ask the Comair guys who lost 50 RJs in BK. Highly doubtful we will go BK again, unless Mars Attacks! or another 9-11. So, I think we won't be backed into the corner like we were, which means we won't have to do anything. If you still want to think about flying 100 seaters, go to USAir, they are hiring on the E190. I bet you would love it in PHL. Reading your posts on here, you would flunk the Delta Psych exam quickly, and probably the cog test too. And, we are getting more narrowbody feed ourselves in 08--9 MD90s and 7 737-700s. You must not have heard? But you did hear about the CR7s SkyWest is getting for United (22), right? What about the 4 CR9s they are getting for us? Didn't you say ASA was going to do some United flying? Are you ever wrong? I think so.

Bye Bye--General Lee

You're right, General. I WOULD fail the psych test. I'd have to be friggin nuts to think I could be another arrogant Double Breasted C*%& Sucker like you and your squadron buddies. No thanks. Hate to break it to you, but if DAL went out of business, the sun would still come up in the morning. The universe does not revolve around Delta or your cranium. Actually, it would be fine with me if Delta did go out of business. Unlike you, I have no vested interest. I could easily find another job with comparable pay and time off. But I don't because this one is easier. For now. Can you say the same?

But glad to see you "don't care what anyone thinks". That's why I can always bait you into a response.

I go fishing every morning. Sometimes I catch the little one, sometimes I catch the big one, and sometimes I catch The General.

I second that about General Irrelevant.

And back to the original question, I predict ASA will be flying out of at least one, and maybe two United hubs before 2008 is over. Most likely IAD, and possibly ORD.

Mesa is on the verge of implosion, and UAL will dump them (for a second time). UAL lifted the no-compete clause, so Skywest can fly for both UAL and DAL in LAX. SkyWest Inc will take over Mesa's UAL flying... SkyWest Airlines will move back to the Left Coast and ASA will cover all SkyWest Inc flying east of the Mississippi.

Personally, I enjoy what the General has to say. It's to bad he's not a 73 driver. I'd be a hoot to be on his J/S.
I am curious though why DAL necessarily would choose OO over XE (XJT) for the LAX ops? A few of us are worried about the short contract in LAX. Input General?
