My sources tell me that Mesa is going to buy ASA. And, after pay is adjusted, the company will be even more profitable.
You guys at ASA crack me up. Before 9/11, you all would kill to be in the General's spot. United and Delta was the place to be. Your little commuter airline was just a place to build time so you could go to a major. "Oh I hate this place, anyone know if Delta is interviewing this month? I have to get out of here".
Now all of a sudden ASA is the place to be. All the majors are bad and now you guys are accusing the majors of stealing you're flying.
Just admit it: ASA sucks, you guys are stuck there, and you're pi$$ed off because you're never going to fly that 777 to exotic destinations. Istead, you're trying every excuse in the book to try and justify your existence there because instead, you're flying your little jets to exotic places like rural Alabama.
Remember, if people were'nt willing to work for food stamps (and in some cases pay for training) this wouldn't be an issue. Instead of RJ's, there would be more 737's and such flying those routes and with a mainline paint job. And a lot of you would be flying them. But noooo, you had the fly that jet. And at any payscale the company wanted you to do it at. Well, look where it got you. Reality has finally hit, and this is where you are.
But hey, the bimbo at the bar doesen't know the difference between Delta and ASA. At least you get to fly a jet and use your "I'm an airline pilot" phrase around everybody you know. Just don't forget to include the word Connection after you say Delta.
