It does NOT appear that the notice takes into account the reduction by furlough. The 80 affected seem to be equally split between the CR7 and CRJ right seat. If that's the case, then those reductions on the CRJ right seat will just about be cancelled out with the furloughs and the bids on file for transition and upgrade.[/quote]
You seem to be the only person here that gets it.
There are alot or enough senior captains on the CR2 that are bidding to transition to the CR7/CR9. Those guys will make up the 40 vacancies on the CR7/CR9 and the junior captains on the CR2 will move up or nothing will happen to them.
For current captains on the CR7 to get displaced to the right seat, senior captains on the CR2 will not have to bid the CR7. This is why SH said "If you are a current captain you have a GOOD CHANCE to keep it."
