The 387 that didn't vote will be the loudest complainers about PBS. Way to show your apethy guys.
Congrats to the rest of us that voted for it though. I think it's a step in the right direction.
What vendor did you get?
PBR
If it works well is to be determined. Let's just see how many loopholes they left open for management to play with.
Great News! Now we have something to work with when we get to contract negotiations.
At least it isn't AOS. My bet is you will hate it right after your first vacation at 3.75hrs each and every day of vacation. If you don't get an adjusted accrual rate for vac and sick, you didn't just push the junior guys under the bus, you dove in after them. Pilots just haven't figured out the basic concept if management wants it, you will most likely hate it. With no transparency and management holding the passwords to running the operation, you will hate it. The big question is how long for the first ASA piss'd off post, my bet is one bid period.

PBR, give it a rest. Unlike SkyWest pilots and those who had it forced on the in BK, we were able to decide what sort of system we have and how it is administered. Instead of the huge savings the company could have realized, we got some of it back and took a considerable amount of control over own destiny on this. One of biggest trump cards equates to mutal agreement on bid run solutions. How many other groups have it? None.
Yeah-
If you think any "mutual agreement on bid runs" which actually results in a coin toss deciding the issue is going to be good, you need to go play in traffic.
-This is the silliest solution to any disagreement I have ever seen-and it is in the agreement. Tossing freaking coins!!! No kidding!
(How many other groups have this: Answer is NONE-Because it its completely silly and solves absolutely nothing!!)
Coin toss is only after sever attempts at an agreement and finally not coming to one. And the coin toss is only to see who goes first at eliminating solutions. It doesn't decide anything. What is more of a fate driven 50/50 chance? Has worked for centuries.
Yep-
As if we needed more proof how dumb our group has become. There are no winners with this PBS agreement.
(I think this poor soul lost the coin toss concerning whether or not to be struck repeatedly in the head with a framing hammer.)
-It has "worked for centuries."

The company saves money w/ PBS if they didn't then why push for it and why would most every other carrier both maojr and regional have it?
We make vast improvements to our monthly QOL by having greater ctrl over our skds. Maybe you don't care about QOL but most of us do. As others have tried to explain to you PBS was able to be negotiated rather than rammed down our throat. This is key as we were abe to pick our vendor and get better options in contract language.
The problems that come up we can work on during open book.
