They won't tell us a date because ALPA doesn't know, and CT knows but won't tell because he doesn't want people jumping ship to all those airlines that are hiring prior to the holiday rush being over.

Bingo. It's not ALPA's place to announce a furlough anyway. Even if they know (which I doubt it, they didn't know early about DFW or SLC) they would wait for the company to announce first.

I am sure if the company is planning on furloughing they would wait until after the holidays. No need to run anybody's holiday, especially since the all the pilots that would be on the hook would be working Christmas and New Year's... too easy to call in sick.

Brad and Chip met with Delta today, details I'm sure will start to emerge in the few weeks or so.

Very interesting- one can only imagine what that was about. I'm sure cost structure, performance, and DCI planning was part of it. Delta probably still doesn't have a clue as to what they are going to do with us, and whatever they told Brad to begin with will change a day later anyway.

i know we are fat on FO's, but seems like all the reserve captains sure are flying a bunch lately.

well hope they all get back soon; not sure if the business is due to comas or sick calls or what
