Standard delta configuration for their 900's. The true oddballs are the Mesaba 900's. IRS's, Heads up display, EFB's, Ovens, 3RD fa jump seat, logo lights. Truly set up to be sold to a European carrier?

Set up for mainline flying. Dl now has 900 rates for its pilots, They won't furlough they'll just banish their pilots to CRJ900's and say B-Bye to WO pilots.

Where on earth do they put the third FA jumpseat?

No HUD, just the empty box above the captain to install it, No EFB just 50 pounds of charts to awkwardly place behind you in the case holder. Logo lights now deactivated. Ovens now deactivated. 3rd seat is to the right of the aisle across from the galley carts (where the crew baggage compartment is on the other planes)

Cold Meals

What does a First-Class meal on a RJ consist of? Are there microwave ovens?

I recently had a cold chicken/pasta salad plate with a fruit tray, bread sticks, and brownies. Pretty good really. May not be the hot fudge sundae's or hot cookies you get on some mainline flights - but not bad. Beats peanuts and biscoff cookies.

You are getting confused- there is a third F/A seat for the aircraft going to europe. Here in the states, and especially at ASA, they simply make the two seats twice as wide.........................

Don't read into it too much... 9E has HF's on theirs... I think XJ does too.

I hope they actually teach you guys how to use them. 9E told their guys they should never be even tested in the continental US... too powerful! WTF???

Because when you broadcast on the CB channels, you're talking to like 6 states!

Actually, it's pretty fun. You can download the CB/HF freq. chart. Enjoy!

Yeah, and you come in rather loud compared to other CB transmissions. I think the last time I tried talking to truckers I gotta, "Holy crap buddy, you just about blew me out of my cab! What are you transmitting on!?"

Mesaba has ovens on the "original 900s," (XJ tail numbers) though I am not sure if they are deactivated or simply not used because we don't get "hot meals" loaded anymore.

Never would have guessed! Cool.

Well, just as long as guys don't heat up their Spaghetti-O's or vegetable soup in the the coffee warmer (intended for hot water for instant coffee) .

That was always food for thought (literally) when asking the F/A for a cup of joe on the old PDT birds.
