Announced yesterday...Skywest has purchased 17 CRJ-900's, 13 of which are going to ASA! Upon delivery of the 13th to ASA a decision will be made about who gets the final 4. They will be in the 70 seat configuration to start off with. Depending on the Delta TA, the last few will come with 75 seats. ASA is looking at putting in 9 first class seats on the 70 seat configs.

The bad news that comes with this announcement is that SLC is GONE! Management has said look for SLC to be vacated by ASA by the end of the year. This will bring approx 150 pilots back to ATL. How many will actually make the move? Who knows.

The 900's will NOT be growth aircraft though. Delivery will begin in August. For every 900 received in ATL, ASA will swap a 700 out to Skywest. However, ASA has acquired 3 more 200's to be online in a July and is looking at 3 more by the end of the year. So...overall (as long as you are not SLC based) Good News for Acey land!

This information was delivered to a training class yesterday by Dan Robertson and again today by Scott Hall.

Been posted and talked about for about 15 pages already.

You gotta be quicker around here.

Yeah.

I heard a rumor today in the ATL pilot lounge that Skywest was buying ASA!

Are you kidding?! Managment doesn't want hard numbers on paper that can be thown in their face when it doesn't work out that way.

Don't believe a damn thing that comes out of Robertson's mouth. He doesn't know squat. He thinks he does, but all he knows is rumors on what he hears at the GO. He was a loser as a CP, and is still a loser. Scotty, well, what can we say about him. No line pilot has any respect for him, another loser. "No Balls Scotty", that's his nickname out here.

:rolleyes:Yeah RIIIIIIGHT!! I will believe it when I see it! Those two idiots know NOTHING! Another CRAPPY DAY here at ASSA!
