Surveys show that passengers want to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. We are specifically instructed to tell all, substituting simplicity for the sake of brevity in technical cases.

Anyone at ASA know in what trash can I can find one of those passenger briefing cards? Those things were classic.

FL000,

So, when you have an engine shut down do to an engine fire indication (no real fire), you get on the PA and tell your passengers?

Just giving you a hard time. I figured there was something in your SOPs regarding briefings.

Thanks for the reply.

Time permitting...yes.

I know your just yanking my chain, but honestly I would absolutely tell the passengers why there was one engine shut down. Passengers tend to freak out when one side of the plane is quiet and we are maneuvering back to the departure airport.

General Lee, keep dreaming bud. Skydiverdriver, these people have thin skin, ignore them. I don't even answer to the ignorant comments directed at me anymore. However if the world did revolve around Comair all of you would have a job.:D .
