As long as it's not proved as negligence they will, according the MCC. I agree they will try though.
 
Look at the bright side. At least now we might get a new cabin trainer at FSI! The door on that old Air Canada airframe is about to fall off the hinges it has been opened and closed so many times. Maybe 706EV can be born again at FSI!! :p
 
If the mechanic started #1 without energizing the electric hydraulic pumps for systems 2 or 3 then the only hydraulics for the brakes come from the accumulators. The inboard brakes are on 3 and outboards are on 2.

Most likely if it had been sitting for a while there wasn't much charge in the accumulators, it is also hard to step on the brakes if you are standing in the flight deck.

Got it. It was kind of a rhetorical question. I've never heard of anyone starting #1 first, just for that reason. We always start #2 first, period.
