Is it true that as of OCt.11.2011 all Eagle pilots on the seniority list will be GUARANTEED A JOB WITH AMERICAN in the future.

AA will have to hire about 8000 pilots before the Eagle new hire PP pilots move to AA as day one new hires.

American has guaranteed a flow through before. Caveat Emptor.

Mesaba had a flow through to Northwest then Delta. That's gone now basically. I might last, but don't plan on it.

Buddy of mine at Eagle is 6 year FO, going to CA now. Based on his math, if AA started hiring tomorrow and kept hiring 30 a month forever .....he would go over in 6.5 years. 12.5 years at AA. Said he probably will apply there if they hire and get there sooner than waiting. So all the AE new highers thinking they will be FO's at AA, you will......in 15 years if you wait. Again this is only if they are sold off, lose flying, and only at a rate of 35% AE pilots per class. If AE is furloughing, it moves to 50% per class. Oh and if AE is furloughing due to a loss of flying to another carrier, AA will ATTEMPT to get interview/hiring at the new AA regional carrier......ATTEMPT.

I have some ocean front property in Nebraska for sale......

Speaking and posting in metaphorical terms sounds somewhat uneducated. Can you not just say what you mean?

The reality of this business has become that there are no guarantees with anything.

Especially with a new hire at Eagle. Look back 15 years and see how worthless a promise like that would be today. 15 years in the future is just as unlikely.

If you want to work at American, apply.

yup from what I hear they all are going, but then again me and a bunch of Mesaba guys were promised by NWA pilots to have a flow.....see how well that worked out for the not so super senior mesaba pilots.....we were sold to an airline that is poorly run and our flow was cancelled.

How come everyone on this thread is saying almost exactly what I was saying on that "other" thread, yet I got no support on that thread?

Seriously, my point was if you want to work at AA it would be WAY faster to just apply. That been said a few times on this thread already and not once said on that other thread by anyone besides me.

...sheesh

One of the strongest motivators out there is hope. More specifically, false hope. That is how Amway strays in business.
