Does a new hire always get the base they want???? and are they allowed to transfer out in the event of a base downsizng in order to maintain a better QOL.

Until recently new hires got the base they wanted. I've heard rumors that TEB and DAL are not being offered right now. There's really no such thing as a base downsizing at NetJets since we're an unscheduled operation. The domicile is either open or closed. When some domiciles have more pilots than the company thinks they need there then new hires may not be offered those choices, which is what may be happening to TEB & DAL. As I understand it there's no option to change domiciles right now.

When I was at a regional, the first year was an apprentice period with ALPA.
No voting rights and no dues for the first year.
