by the way, this will only make sense to Skywest pilots, its a screenshot of our famous "reliability report" its on our front page of our employee section of the website, its so the company knows that you know they are actively tracking your absenteeism, in my case I have called in sick 29 times in the past rolling 12 months.

Wow Jason your the coolest. Hopefully your the guy all the easily influnenced 20 something's at Skywest look up to. This way when everyone starts this little "game" of yours the company will not trust the pilot group.
If what I'm saying doesn't make sense or you don't care ask any Comair pilot about the required chat with a Cheif and mandatory visit to a doctor. Oh did I mention they choose the doctor.

Maybe you should be more concerned about how the little guy (that's you) is getting sh&^ on by management.

Illness is one thing, even if it is the rare anal glaucoma, however 29 sick calls in the last 12 months is just stupid. Take a vitamin or quit your job.

Union or not, management will crap on you. Just because you vote in a union, doesn't mean the grass will grow greener, rainbows apear and the birds sing.

Are all those absents cause you couldnt check the load on UAL LIST? Are you proud of this? Must be missing a point here!
 
When we get the same deal the FA's get, we will know who's responsible for it. The last thing I want to do when I have some bad mexican the night before a trip is have to go to the doctor to get a note.

BTW, I know someone who was in the 30's

Not me sir, I enhanced my situataion 10 fold without the help of any unappreciative airline management group.

Call me "old school", but I'd fire you in a heartbeat, union or not. It's definately a hit when you look for a new job.
 
Doesn't Delta look to see how many days you missed in the last year in their hiring process? Hope you're not looking to go there anytime soon

Of course not, but you have a binding contract and a legal recourse when they try to sh*& on you. The work rule reductions that Skywest management has taken over the past few years, not to mention the elimination of COLA, would not have been possible with a union. Unions don't wave a magic wand and make everything instantly better. But, they do provide a legal framework for you to work towards making things better, and they provide the resources to make it happen.
 
So a pilot named JASON IANIRO at Skywest boasts on a public forum that he's called in sick 29 times in the past 12 months.
Wow, real smart there. Are we supposed to be impressed, 'cause I'm just laughing...
 
Oh, and by the way Jason Ianiro, would you boast on a forum at your alma mater (Southern Illinois University) how many times you cheated on exams while enrolled there?

Okay, I figured I would go back and edit my posts to remove this guy's name, I kinda feel bad now calling him out like that, even though he posted what I think is a ridiculous claim on a public forum, but I can't edit them any longer.
Mods: feel free to delete his name if you want to.

If you read the guys other posts you will realize he has a genuine problem with illness and a weak immune system. No two people are created equal. The fact the sucky....yes I said sucky schedules at skywest have taken an even greater toll on his health than others shouldnt make him a target. I believe ultimately this is why he is getting out of aviation. Too bad, from what I have heard he is a good pilot and well liked by those who have flown with him. I guess this worker bee just couldnt put out enough honey to meet the below "company average" sick days mark. All this so called measurement system does is encourage guys to fly when they are sick and not fit for duty. Add to that a guy, DD getting canned because he said he didnt feel fit for duty and what is skywest trying to prove? Hopefully the fact they got their butt handed too them on this last lawsuit will make them think twice on some of these policies.
 
when the dude posts a link that included his name in the address, I don't think he believed it'd be private.
