It's just a small country airport with no real services, but friendly southern people to help in any way they can. Has or had a LOC approach and appr 5,000 runway. It's several miles from Atlanta or Athens. Not much to do there, but sometimes we must go to places like this to earn our money. It's all part of what we do for a living.

Athens is serious college town. We stayed at the Courtyard there...can walk anywhere you want to go. There is a great bar downtown that grills the best cheeseburgers you have had in your life at midnight...

That bar is Boar's Head...and yeah they are good burgers....there are many plays on the name of the bar, many of them earned. Athens is a great college town and if you go you've got to go downtown.

too bad its not in the fall, you could go up to AHN and watch the Dawgs get theirs handed to 'em. The best thing to come out of athens in a long time is Highway 316.

yeah but if you go to Auburn you have to live in Alabama....
