Times have changed versus 5 years ago.. many more people have jet time versus turboprop time. As this trend continues in the years to come, TP time will become less and less valuable. We're already seeing that with some of the major carriers.. As example: obviously JetBlue has a reason they've stopped putting TP guys in the Airbus... and its not because they flew in shlt weather or flew 10 legs per day.. get a clue, they can't handle a advanced, automated jet.

For some reason, prop guys seem to have tunnel vision on this subject

My 7,000 hours of Turboprop time didn't do sh!t for me. Although, it did get me into a confusing cockpit at Southwest. I'm so lost and behind the airplane all the time. I hope no one catches on and weeds me out.

Funny though, in the last year SWA actually cut loose three pilots who had trouble in the cockpit. Turns out they all came from jet backgrounds and not turboprop.

.......

You have 6500 hrs and are flying a trash 8.. to quote the great Jim Carrey: "LAAAAAA HOOOOOO SSSEER"

Looks like that 1000 TP PIC is really workin out well for ya.

Its a shame your mother didn't stop her drinking during your pregnancy.

Maybe, just possibly, not everyone wants to come fly regional jets with you.

Maybe I bit too easily on this flamebait.

1000 PIC doesn't mean as much as Colgan fanatics make it out to...

Super. I'll trade anybody my 3000 SIC for their 1000 PIC and race them to SWA. See you at the finish line.

trash 8??? you're kidding right? calling a 6500hr dash pilot a loser, wow. there's really nothing more I can say, that is just an amazingly pretentious, ignorant comment. damn, i really can't stand these dumb-s**t jet guys

Well it looks like you went from a SF340 to a E170. You must be like the awesomest pilot ever dude. How did you handle going from such a primimitive aircraft like the saab to the Starship Enterprise (E170). Far out man.

Greedypilot, I guess your at Republic! And If you are, well all I can say is that your not that greedy. Those payrates SUCK for that big a$$ airplane!

Looks like with those payrates your just a click above Mesa!

And thanks, my PIC time in the Dash 8 is working out really well.

Hmmmm House on the Water, DOCK, Waverunner, 2 Cars that are 2006, 2007. Lovely wife and kid!!

And what is that you have? I am guessing your parents still pay your Cell Bill, Your Car Payment, You r auto insurance, you live in a crashpad, Beat off to lovely pornsites everynight because even those easy to lay FA's won't give you the time of day!!!

You poor boy! Good luck in this profession you have chosen!!

Well I went from a Convair 580 to a 757 to an A-320piece of ******************** J-blew flies..so dont let any notions about t-p vs jet occupy your minds...the 320 is the easiest biggest piece of ********************to fly I have ever sat in the left seat of.
