Yes, as far as I know, the max days off in a normal month is 14.

Kind of defeats the purpose of flying long-haul, from a pilot's perspective, doesn't it? Why do 14 days off a month unless it's easy, daytime flying.

Can anyone from EK or a good connection there confirm that part?

I know of someone on the A-330 and he absolutely despises the place.

Others seem to love it.

I fly primarily ULR (ultra long flights) on the 777. Last month I was in the middle of the pack bid group wise and flew a carry in trip that took up 1 day, 2 - 4 day ULR's, and one 3 day. I had 2 stretches of 6 days off in a row during the month.

The sort answer to your question is it depends on the aircraft you get, how short people they are in your position, and a how you bid. This month I got a crap roster because of training days restricting my ULR bidding.
