An Honest Question for AirTran Pilots

Go ask Gary Kelly what we bring, he didn't bother to ask for our opinion. I don't really care what's in it for you or for me, it's going to happen weather we like it or not. There is no fairness on this board. There isn't a single position on the Airtran list I would rather be on than where I am on the SWA list. All this mix and mashing of pecker wood ideas is all fine and dandy, but lets be realistic SWA pilots are not interested what Airtran pilots have, because it is not enough. Even for the guy who gets Christmas off, and works weekdays at their top rate, I do not see many SWA guys who would jump over to work at Airtran period. I am not an Airtran pilot, good luck with how this works out. Some of you may be surprised where this falls, some of the SWA pilots may be surprised. All I know you lucky pecker woods are missing out on thousands a month by not being on our list. Five year pay FO, 14K average a month. Those are nice apples pecker woods, figure out what you need to do to get your heads out of your butts and get on one list.

Gary Kelly stated that the AAI acquisition would achiev growth that would take SWA 10 yrs to achieve organically. Is it conceivable that the AAI acquisition will speed up the possibility of SWA operating wide body aircraft? I would imagine a 737 over the atlantic and into Asia would not be possible. With AAI you as a SWA pilot may now have the ability of retiring in a widebody aircraft.

Wow . . . I'm sure your fellow pilots and MC Reps are pleased to be represented publicly by a man with your command of the written word, in addition to your extensive experience with handling wood and peckers. :laugh:

Not sure what your point is but I'm guessing you just wanted to try out the new, "pecker wood" idiom that you learned.
