True. Of course walking around the terminal dressed like that is unacceptable as well. But there sure are a lot of young guys who think its OK.

What the heck was a JetBlue guy asking for the jumpseat with a beard? Or what the heck, a sky nazi deny him the jumpseat?
Horizon requires uniform or coat and tie. However most of the CAs don't enforce it very strictly.
Depends on the airline, I suppose. I can't speak for any other airline, but Southwest's cockpit JS dress code says no beards. On the other hand, I did't know that Jetblue allowed pilots to have beards. I've only seen beards on pilots from European airlines.
