If things sucked as bad as your examples, I would find a new job myself. I have been a memmber of two unions in my working life. They were very adept at taking their dues from your paycheck, keeping the deadwood onboard and little else. Unions time have come and gone. Just my .02.
 
From my ringside seat at the AMFA strike it was was clear that AMFA's motivation was pure anger. They didn't think anything through. They were pi$$ed that the industry was reeling, and blamed NWA management for it.

Big egos. Little brains.

Pity.
