Everything changes...

Jetexas,

What will change with reserve system at Eagle next month?
The short answer is;

You don't have to be on reserve to be on reserve anymore.

We gave up quite a bit in reserve rules in exchange for a 4% pay increase. Quality of life issues are going to get worse, especially with the number of displacements and resignations. Lots of junior Captains flying as First Officers and lots of junior F/Os getting to know the dark side of the scheduling department.

We should know something by March concerning the number of AA flow-backs. There are at least two significant grievances about the flow-backs pending as well. Also, APA and AA are rumored to be in double-secret negotiations, again without Eagle/ALPA, to make "improvements" to the flow-back agreement.

I still like the job. I have a great office window. But, things seem to deteriorate every year.

I spend very little time there anymore. There is an inordinate amount of bandwidth devoted to the never-ending "When are we getting the EMB-170?" stroke-fest.

Yes, indeed. The polar opposite of the argument about when a person is qualified to become an FO on this board :rolleyes: . All pilot webpages are 80% junk. Skip to the 20% of what you need and move on.
