I would have expected EarthX to ship you a new battery.

Agree, was a little strange that they want to “repair” it. So long as they do it quickly, I’m OK with that.

I would demand a new battery as well. There is a problem going on with Battleborn batteries along this same line and I'm shocked to learn EarthX may have the same problem. I'll now be taking a closer look at mine annually.

Personally I would not fly the plane with that battery. Have them send you a replacement and a return label to ship this back.

Hard to find good internal photos for the EarthX batteries. The ones I have seen seem to show the terminal post is hard bolted to the BMS board but flex wired to the cells.

I would not fly with this battery.
